St Kilda v Adelaide Crows - AFL Betting Tips 27-04-2019
April 24, 2019
St Kilda play Adelaide at Marvel Stadium this Saturday afternoon in what should be an absolute beauty. The Saints have been the AFL’s biggest surprise early in 2019, while Adelaide returned to form over the weekend after a torrid start.
St Kilda v Adelaide Crows Preview
Imagine the odds you could have got for St Kilda to be second on the ladder after round five. The Saints are level with ladder leader Geelong with four wins and one loss and seem to be getting better with every week. Against Melbourne, the Saints moved the ball quickly from end to end to set up constant scoring opportunities. Tim Membrey and former Dee Dean Kent starred in attack, kicking four and three goals respectively.
If St Kilda have performed above expectations, it’s fair to say Adelaide performed below expectations in the first four matches. Thankfully for coach Don Pyke, the Crows turned their form around on Sunday, belting the Gold Coast Suns into submission. The Crows looked like the team that won the minor premiership in 2017, with wave after wave of counter-attack off half-back. Eddie Betts turned back the clock with six goals in his 300th game, including a contender for goal of the year. The only bad news out of the game was the injury to key playmaker Wayne Milera.

St Kilda v Adelaide Betting Tips
This might seem harsh on the Saints, but they have yet to beat an in-form team. Yes, Essendon, Melbourne, and Hawthorn are all highly regarded, but all were out of form when they took on St Kilda. If the Crows turn it on again, they might be too much for the Saints to handle. The smart money is on Adelaide, who are a slight 1.95 underdog at Neds.
Despite ending up winners, the Saints have conceded the first goal in each of the past two matches. Will it be three times in a row? Unibet is paying 3.50 for Adelaide to kick the first goal.
