Melbourne City vs Perth Glory A-League Preview and Betting Tips 03-03-2019
February 26, 2019
Perth Glory can virtually sew up top spot and home-ground advantage through the A-League finals series when they travel east to play Melbourne City at AAMI Park on Sunday. City will be desperate for points after a string of poor results that have put their finals hopes at risk.
Glory are Red Hot in A-League
Perth have been in incredible form and are now hot betting favourites to win their first title in the A-League era. The Glory have won four on the trot and eight from 10. Even scarier is the fact they’ve conceded just one goal in their last six games (while scoring 11 of their own). Glory haven’t lost away from home all year. They’ve already been to Melbourne twice this year, recording a 0-0 draw with City on Jan 19 and a 2-1 win over Victory on Feb 10.
City are seriously struggling at the moment, putting major doubts over their ability to compete in finals. They did well to ground out a 1-1 draw in the Melbourne derby last Saturday, which was a major achievement given they’d won just one point from their previous four games. City haven’t achieved a clean sheet since that Jan 19 draw with Glory.

Perth Glory v Melbourne City Betting Tips
Given Glory’s form, it’s hard to see them failing to score for a second time in a row against City. And to be frank, it’s hard to see City scoring either. Bet365 is offering superb value on match results, including 2.50 for the Glory to win and 4.00 for Glory to lead at half-time and full-time.
According to Unibet, Glory have won their last six day matches and have kept a clean sheet in six of their seven A-League matches as favourite against Melbourne City. With that in mind, it’s hard to go past Unibet’s odds of 4.25 for Glory to win to nil and 8.50 for them to win both halves.
