It’s a repeat of last year’s final, although back then the game was played at Sydney’s Allianz Stadium.  The Sky Blues lifted the trophy last season after eventually prevailing 2-1 after extra-time.

Sydney secured all three points in their derby game at home to Western Sydney Wanderers on Saturday, with goals from Le Fondre and Alex Brusque early in each half.

The fact that the bookies can’t really separate the teams is no surprise.  As was the case last season, this year’s final could well necessitate extra-time to decide the outcome.  The recent league game ended all square and this appears to have every chance of doing likewise.
