Offers on the Eels and Sea Eagles NRL Encounter

Parramatta and Manly meet in the NRL's opening round on Friday Night. Can the Eels shock their opponents or will the Sea Eagles start their season with a win?

The first Friday night NRL match of 2015 should be a spectacular showdown. Two Sydney sides will face off with Parramatta hosting Manly. BetEasy have an offer on the match which will make it even more exciting and it involves the Sea Eagle’s skipper. Punters can back either team to win the match and if their selection loses but Jamie Lyon scores a try, they’ll be refunded up to $50 in the form of a bonus bet. The pair currently can’t be split on BetEasy’s head to head market with both sides paying around $1.90.

Lyon Looking for More Tries

Jamie Lyon scored just 7 tries last season and one of Manly’s main weapons will be out to improve on that number in 2015. One of those four pointers however did come against Friday night’s opponents, when the Sea Eagles snatched a dramatic 4 point win over the Eels early in 2014. Parramatta though got their revenge at the back end of the year after coming from 12 nil down at half time to win 22 -12 in round 24. Punters who backed the Sea Eagles to win that night with Sportsbet were refunded however as the bookmaker was running its ‘half time lead and fail to win’ money back special. That same offer is once again available on the round 1 battle.

Former Manly Men the Ones to Watch

Jarryd Hayne was electrifying for the Eels in that amazing comeback as he was most of the season but Parramatta’s players can no longer hop on board the Hayne Train after his exit to the NFL. Former Sea Eagle’s star William Hopoate will wear the number one for the Blue and Gold and he’ll be out for a first class performance against his old club. Anthony Watmough will come face to face with the forwards he used to play with week in week out when he takes on his former team for the first time, after an off-season switch from Manly to Parramatta. If the Blues back rower managed the game’s opening try he’d surely be doubly delighted and punters who back him with Tom Waterhouse to get the first four pointer will double their winnings if he does; as long as the try is converted. It doesn’t have to be Watmough for punters to take advantage of Tom Waterhouse’s special. The offer applies to customers’ first bet on the first tryscorer market. If the selection is correct and the goal kicker converts the try, a bonus bet up to $200 will be rewarded to winning members.

So even if these two teams aren’t your favourites to watch, with a winning wager here and a first try scorer bet there; any match can make for excellent excitement.
