New South Wales trainer Chris Waller has 3 runners in the field with MORIARTY, KERMADEC and Royal DESCENT. While MORIARTY ($81) is the biggest priced horse, KERMADEC is at the shortest odds. The 4 year old finished second in the Group One Chelmsford Stakes last start over the same track and distance and with a better barrier draw this time it’s at just under $3 to triumph. And favourites have had a pretty good record in the race in the past 10 years, 5 have won it while only 3 have failed to place.

PORNICHET is a good horse but needs to hit top form. The Gai Waterhosue trained runner was a bit flat in the Chelmsford but could win this with a proper performance.
