Betfair Prices Big Bash For Big Finish - As It Reaches The Final Four

The end of the KFC T20 Big Bash League Group Stage sees the Big Semi-final venues confirmed.

Having finished top of the pile, Melbourne Stars will host fourth-placed Hobart Hurricanes. Meanwhile, Perth Scorchers are left to travel to Sydney Sixers – after surrendering second place with a loss against the Stars.

And the final-four ladder placings are reflected in Betfair Sportsbook‘s Outright odds prices, with the Stars clear favourites at 2.36. The Sixers and Scorchers are priced at 4.00 and 4.9 respectively, while the Hurricanes’ odds are 5.1.

With a 100% win rate from their eight group games, the Stars will welcome the Hurricanes to the MCG on Tuesday February 4. After a five wicket loss to the Stars in the group, the Hurricanes will look to do better in a Semi-Final which also marks the 100th game of Big Bash League, in the third season of the competition.

The day after, the Sixers and the Scorchers will settle their Semi-final at the SCG – after a last round victory in the Sydney derby saw them leap-frog the Scorchers into second spot and secure home advantage.

The winners of both last-four ties will then proceed to the Big Final, which will be held on Friday February 7. As a reward for progressing into the last game of this year’s tournament, both finalists will also assure themselves of a Champions League Twenty20 place as well.

Betfair Sportsbook prices favour a Stars victory (1.4) over the Hurricanes (2.3), while they’ve got the Sixers and the Scorchers both priced at 1.01 to win the other Semi-final.

Whatever happens in these final three games, the tournament is deservedly set up for the biggest of finishes.
