It looks like the season of upsets may be upon us as Essendon registered a tick in the win column to add to the first round of shock results. Enjoy the Hall and Ablett show
Gold Coast are set to play at home against Carlton this week. We are seeing Gold Coast getting the business done in their games, not always pretty but they are certainly churning out the results.
Aaron Hall and Gary Ablett have been in great form with Tom Lynch also doing everything expected in the forward role. The Suns look a steal in the handicap betting market with their -33.5 line against Carlton looking tasty at even money with Ladbrokes.
Doggies to test Hawks squad depthThe Hawthorn Hawks got over the line last week, but now they come up against the in-form team so far this season. Many thought the Western Bulldogs were a flash in the pan last year but they’re proving doubters wrong so far. They’ve got a full strength squad and look full of running, whereas the Hawks have looked a little tired and rusty. I’m going for a straight win for the Doggies on the Moneyline here at 5/4 with bet365.Saints and Collingwood in a stinker?Saint Kilda barely got into the Western Bulldog’s half last week and were soundly beaten by an unconvincing Port Adelaide. Collingwood were also well beaten by the Sydney Swans who barely got out of 2nd gear in their opening game.
Collingwood followed up with a narrow win against Richmond. These results lead me to believe this may well be a low scoring game with both teams not wanting to take chances and try to win the midfield battle.
The game is made closer still by Collingwood’s big forward, Travis Cloke, being so out of form – he might get put into the ruck as well with the missing key man and former Brownlow Medal winner Dane Swan out with a broken foot. Under 180.5 points at 10/11 looks a sound investment in this game with bet365
