Madbookie
MadBookie shot onto the scene back in 2015 and have been making waves in the online betting industry ever since. The brand is proud to be 100% Australian owned and is very much a local bookmaker - only allowing punters from Australia and New Zealand to place bets.Rating | |

They’ve already built up a good reputation for good customer service, one of the core foundations for the brand. With a such a crowded market for online gambling, MadBookie stands out by rewarding loyalty, offering regular bonuses for existing customers – not just new customers. There is even the chance to win tickets for a wide range of sports matches.
Madbookie Promotions
Madbookie takes a refreshingly different angle when it comes to promotions and offers. Rather than plastering their homepage with new signup offers, boosts, promotions and so on, they focus on offering good odds on the markets.
For existing customers, MadBookie offers weekly specials for racing and sports. They offer some amazing odds on horse racing – a market that they specialise in – so if horse racing is your game, then these guys are definitely worth checking out. They have regular promotions such as money back offers if your horse finishes second, third or fourth.
Money back specials extend to their other primary markets: AFL, NRL and Rugby Championship. MadBookie’s loyalty schemes also reward you through their MadLays promos and Player Bets which are available on a huge range of markets.
MadBookie Racing
Considering all the sports available, it’s clear that racing is MadBookie’s biggest market. It’s the first option in the quick links section and features races from a comprehensive number of countries including Australia, New Zealand, France, Ireland and more. From the homepage, you see who’s next to jump and have the ability to toggle between thoroughbreds, harness and greyhound races. You can also filter between day – with links to all of today’s and tomorrow’s races. It’s hard to find a specialist bookmaker who offers odds on as many races as MadBookie.
Betting through MadBookie is made all the more exciting through their ‘best tote’ offer which is available daily on all thoroughbred races. You can select from either fixed pricing or middle tote on today’s races. MadBookie even provides racing statistics to help you make informed decisions by looking at the previous years’ data. There’s also the regular money back promotions, mentioned above, which give you chance to get your money back if your horse doesn’t finish first, feeding into their aim to reward custom loyalty. MadBookie App
The MadBookie app gives you a much faster and smoother experience than trying to access the website via your phone, so we would recommend downloading it. You can install it via the website, but the simplest way is to search for MadBookie betting directly from the Google Play Store. The app is currently not available for Apple users. The mobile app is lacking in certain features, such as live betting, which requires you to phone up to their Australian offices, but for placing standard bets, it’s a lot more convenient than using the website.
MadBookie Review and Conclusion
If you’ve never used MadBookie before, you’ll be quite surprised by their simple and easy to use website. The layout feels familiar and borrows from other major online betting sites. You aren’t bombarded with confusing offers and promotions and it’s easy to navigate to the sports you’re interested in. MadBookie specialises in racing, rugby, La Liga and several other markets – all of which are available from the handy ‘quick links’ section. However, they do offer some great odds on other sports such as cycling, ice hockey and golf.
There’s no search feature on the site which is a shame, but matches are easy enough to find if you know what you’re looking for. They’ve put a lot of consideration into making the betting process as simple as possible, making it easy to place bets. The online bet slip is also easy to read. We also tested the dedicated Android app which was similarly easy to use. In fact, we found the app was slightly faster than the website which is ideal for those of us that prefer to place our bets when we’re out and about.
All-in-all we’d grade MadBookie a 4 out of 5. There are a few tweaks that we’d like to see made to the site to make the whole experience smoother, but all things considered, a very good bookmaker. The MadBookie website is relatively new, and we’ve already seen improvements since it’s launch which is a good sign of what’s to come.
